We, the ShamanLand.Com, regard your information significant and release this Privacy Policy to inform you what information we collect and how we use it to personalize and continually improve your experience.

This Privacy Policy applies to the app Pocket Meteo Lab (hereinafter App), which is available by following URL: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.shamanland.weather

Information We Collect

  1. Personal Information. We do not collect identifying Personal Information such as your name, physical address, email address, telephone or similar identifiers. With your permission, the App collects your device location (precise GPS coordinates), which may be considered personal data under applicable laws, for the sole purpose of producing a local weather forecast.
  2. Location Data. To deliver the core function of the App, the location you select or your detected coordinates are sent to a third-party weather data provider, Open-Meteo (https://open-meteo.com), through our forecast server, which acts solely on your behalf to retrieve a forecast for that point. This transfer is necessary to provide the service you request and is carried out in your interest; the coordinates are sent without your name or account and are not used by us to identify you. Open-Meteo processes this request under its own privacy policy (https://open-meteo.com/en/terms). Before your coordinates are sent to Open-Meteo for the first time, the App asks for your explicit consent. If you decline, no coordinates are transmitted and forecasts are not available; you can give your consent later at any time. Your saved locations are stored locally on your device and are not uploaded to us.
  3. Non-personal Information. We use Google Firebase (Analytics and Remote Config) in the App. Firebase automatically collects non-personal usage and device information, such as app events, device model, operating system, identifiers and an approximate, IP-based location, as described in Google's Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy).
  4. Information you provide. We may collect your information when you communicate with us or you give us.

How We Use Information

  1. Personal Information. We do not store Personal Information on our servers and therefore we do not disclose your Personal Information.
  2. Location Data. We use your location only to request and display the weather forecast you ask for. For this purpose, and in your interest, your coordinates are transmitted to the third-party weather data provider Open-Meteo through our forecast server. We do not use your location to identify, profile or track you, and we do not share it for advertising.
  3. Non-Personal Information. We do not sell or trade your information. Non-personal information collected through Firebase is used to understand usage and improve the App, and is processed by Google as described in its Privacy Policy.
  4. Legal Reasons. We will access, use or disclose your information with other organizations or entities for reasons that required by any applicable law, regulation, legal process or enforceable governmental request; detect, prevent, or otherwise fraud, security or technical issues; protect against harm to the rights, property or safety of the App, our users or the public as required or permitted by law.

Security

We are very concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of your information. We employ administrative, physical and electronic measures designed to protect your information from unauthorized access and use. Please be aware that no security measures that we take to protect your information is absolutely guaranteed to avoid unauthorized access or use of your information which is impenetrable. Sensitive Information We ask that you not send us, and you not disclose, any sensitive Personal Information (e.g., information related to racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religion or other beliefs, health, sexual orientation, criminal background or membership in past organizations, including trade union memberships) on or through the App or otherwise to us.
